When Water Infrastructures Speak โ Workshop
On 15 October at 4.30pm, Italian-Libyan artist Adelita Husni Bey will join Barcelona based artistic initiative Sitesize to exchange exercises and methodological approaches in the form of alternating workshops that address their respective researches into water infrastructures, water custody and hydro-extractivist practices.
Through their different case studies, the exercises will address how water is understood as a resource, how it is experienced somatically, how it is remembered and how the, at times slippery, dynamic between oppressor and oppressed can be understood through the lens of infrastructure.
The workshopย will be performance-based, and will involve a walk in the urban area around La Virreina. The workshops will be held in English and Spanish with informal translations.
