When Water Infrastructures Speak β Workshop
On 15 October 2024, Adelita Husni Bey joined Barcelona based artistic initiative Sitesize to exchange exercises and methodological approaches in the form of alternating workshops that address their respective researches into water infrastructures, water custody and hydro-extractivist practices.
Through their different case studies, the exercises explored how water is understood as a resource, how it is experienced somatically, how it is remembered and how the, at times slippery, dynamic between oppressor and oppressed can be understood through the lens of infrastructure.
The performance-based workshop, involved a walk in the urban area around La Virreina.
